The Musiciens a district full of charm
The tourist boom and the unification of France in 1860 lead to the construction of new buildings in the Musiciens district that used to be composed by many “nicoises” houses, gardens and agricultural holdings.
The Musiciens district of Nice goes up North to av Thiers , South to Bd Victor Hugo, West to Bd Gambetta and East Av Jean Médecin.
One can find for instance on 28 rue Verdi , 36 Rossini, 9 Auber, 2 rue Guiglia , many palaces and hotels. They generally date back from the beginning of the 20th century with the iconic Belle Epoque Eclectique architectural style in Nice from 1895 until 1920.
With streets bearing the name of famous musicians: there is poetry in the naming of the district, some of them have never been to Nice, like Mozart, a square bears his name in the heart of the district, others on the contrary did stay here.
